In keeping with the Halloween theme, the challenge today was to design and make a coffin for Dracula with a volume of between 1000-3000cm3. The children looked at examples of cuboids in the classroom and calculated the volume of each so as to have an idea of the size of their coffins. They then looked at how cereal boxes are constructed using tabs to join them. We were delighted with how they turned out.
