Something Fishy river survey
20th Jun 2022
We had a very busy day in school today. As part of the Something Fishy project that we have been working on over the past few months we visited the Cluainín river. The river flows past the school and it is a tributary of the Owenmore river and the Templehouse lakes. Markus and Padraig from the Inland Fisheries Board electro fished the river for us and took kick samples so that we could identify what invertebrates and fauna live in the river. Please read our blog attached to learn more about what we found. We were amazed that there was so much life in this habitat.
